How to install it — step by step

Follow these 6 steps on your Android phone. You only do this once.

    Tap “Download for Android”

    Use the orange button on this page. Your phone downloads a file called zyproute.apk (about the size of a few photos). If Chrome asks “Do you want to keep zyproute.apk?” or says the file might be harmful, tap Download anyway.

    Open the file

    When the download finishes, tap Open in the message at the bottom of the screen. Missed it? Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap zyproute.apk, or open the Files app → Downloads.

    Allow “Install unknown apps” for your browser

    Android asks once whether your browser may install apps. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then tap the back arrow ←.
    • Samsung: Settings → Apps → ⋮ (top right) → Special access → Install unknown apps → Chrome (or Samsung Internet) → Allow from this source
    • Google Pixel: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → Chrome → Allow from this source

    Tap Install (and “Install anyway” if Play Protect warns)

    Tap Install. Because ZypRoute comes straight from our website instead of the Play Store, Google Play Protect may say it doesn’t recognize the developer. That’s expected — tap More details → Install anyway. If it offers to “scan the app”, you can tap Scan app and then install.

    Open ZypRoute and sign in

    Tap Open (or find the orange ZypRoute icon on your home screen). Sign in with the email and password you used on the website, or create your account in the app.

    Allow location and notifications

    Drivers: when asked about location choose Allow all the time (on newer phones tap While using the app first, then Allow all the time on the next screen) so customers can track their package while you drive. Everyone: tap Allow for notifications so you hear about new jobs and delivery updates.

🔄 Updating the app

When we release a new version we’ll let you know, and this page always shows the latest version number. To update:

  1. Come back to zyproute.com/download and tap Download for Android again.
  2. Open the new file and tap Update (or Install). It installs over the old app.
  3. You stay signed in — your account, deliveries and earnings are kept on our servers.

Don’t uninstall the old app first; installing over the top is all you need.

🔒 Is it safe?

Yes. The app is signed by ZypRoute and downloaded over a secure connection from our own website. Android warns about every app that doesn’t come from the Play Store — that’s normal.

Trouble installing?

The most common problems and how to fix them.

“App not installed” or “There was a problem parsing the package”

The download probably didn’t finish. Delete zyproute.apk from Files → Downloads, then download it again on Wi-Fi or a strong signal. Make sure your phone has at least 200 MB free space and runs Android 7.0 or newer.

If you had an older test version of ZypRoute (for example from Expo Go or another source), uninstall that one first, then install this file.

I can’t find the downloaded file

Open the Files app (or My Files on Samsung) → Downloads and tap zyproute.apk. In Chrome you can also tap ⋮ → Downloads.

Nothing happens when I tap Install / the Install button is greyed out

Close any screen-dimming or chat-bubble apps that draw over other apps, then try again. Also check that Install unknown apps is turned on for the app you opened the file with (Chrome, Samsung Internet or Files) — see step 3.

Play Protect says “Unsafe app blocked” or “Harmful app”

Tap More details → Install anyway. Play Protect shows this for apps that aren’t from the Play Store. Only install ZypRoute from zyproute.com.

My work or school phone won’t let me install apps

Phones managed by an employer often block apps from outside the Play Store. Use a personal Android phone, or ask your IT department to allow it.

Location keeps turning off while I drive

Open Settings → Apps → ZypRoute → Permissions → Location and choose Allow all the time. Also set Settings → Apps → ZypRoute → Battery to Unrestricted so Android doesn’t pause the app.

I don’t get notifications

Open Settings → Apps → ZypRoute → Notifications and turn them on.

I have an iPhone

iPhone (Apple) is not supported at this time, coming soon. Customers can use the website on any iPhone to book and track deliveries.
